BUFFALO, N.Y. - Two days after Buffalo Sabres fans booed the team during a game at First Niagara Center, forward Steve Ott is standing behind his comments that he was disappointed with them.

"Our fans were booing us every opportunity they had," Ott told reporters after the Sabres 3-2 shootout victory over the New Jersey Devils."It is disappointing in the sense we created momentum from having a hardworking defensive zone shift, catching it on the offense, scoring big goals, timely goals. Those are the ones that win you games.

The Sabres were stuck in their own zone for much of the game and the fans were critical of their play despite the positive result.

On Tuesday morning, Ott's comments were similar when he went on WGR 550 Radio as a guest on the Howard Simon Show.

"I think it is completely ridiculous to be honest with you, we go into other buildings and we have won a lot of games and teams that should have the same amount of frustration, sold out buildings... It's funny because they are continuing to cheer on their team,"

Ott finished the radio interview by clarifying that he is not against the fans.

"I'm not banging on our fans at all, because we do have a lot of fantastic fans. It's just disheartening when it is a 0-0 game or 1-1 and you are looking for some positive energy in our crowd."
