Town of Carroll, NY - Four arrests have been made in connection with two suspicious deaths in Chautauqua County.

Gordon and Joyce Skinner were found dead in their home on Wheeler Hill Road yesterday after authorities received a report of a fire.

Davide Coggins, Ricky Knickerbocker, Steven Todd and Joshua McCormick were all arrested in Elmira last night.   All are charged with two counts of second degree murder.

The sheriff says it appears a home invasion turned into a homicide.   Chautuaqua County Sherriff Joseph Gerace says, "In 34 years of law enforcement, this is one of the most disturbing and troubling incidents I've had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the family members and friends of the Skinners."

The sheriff says this was not a random act.   Officials would not say how the suspects knew the couple that was killed.

When asked about the cause of death, the sheriff said that no firearm was used in this crime.
