BUFFALO, NY - Dolly, the five-year old yellow labrador retriever is an outstanding bomb-sniffing dog.
They may look regular, but they have capabilities that most dogs do not. Gerry O'Sullivan, ATF Senior Special Agent in Buffalo says "there's over 19,000 different types of explosive compounds, we ask our canines to detect any and all of those types of compounds."
The agent took Dolly to Boston and worked 16-hour hour days for one week after the Boston Marathon explosions.
"She was utilized at most of the crime scenes in Boston to search for explosives, post-blast firearms, shell casings." Due to the on-going investigation, the Agent O'Sullivan can't disclose specifics on what, if anything Dolly found.
Dolly came from an organization called Puppies behind bars, she was raised in a prison.
