MARILLA, NY - When Jerry L. Roll refused to take a drug test following a serious, multi-vehicle accident Saturday morning, he told Erie County Sheriff's Office deputies, "I don't want you to know about all the drugs in me."

According to a statement released by the Sheriff's Office, Roll, 59, of Cowlesville, plowed into the back of a car waiting to turn right (southbound) onto Eastwood Road from Clinton Street. The car was driven by Sarah Ulrich, 18, of Marilla. Accident investigators say that Roll did not brake before colliding with Ulrich's car, which was forced into the intersection.

Ulrich's vehicle then collided with a pick-up truck traveling east on Eastwood Road, driven by James R. Pautler Jr., 28, of the Town of Alden.

Pautler was treated and released at the scene by the Marilla Fire Company. Both Ulrich and Roll were transported to the Erie County Medical Center by ambulance. Ulrich was treated for minor injuries and released.

Roll remains at ECMC with serious injuries. He's scheduled to be arraigned in Town of Marilla Court on July 9. No mug shot was available and there's no word yet on what charges he's facing.
