A Batavia man has been sentenced to spend the next century behind bars.
Michael Lewis, 42, was ordered to serve 100 years in prison after being convicted of raping two girls.
The abuse occurred between April 2010 and November 2011 when the victims were between the ages of 12 and 14.
Lewis had been indicted on 340 sex abuse counts by a grand jury, but the judge combined them to 38 in order to make it easier on the jury.
The Genesee County District Attorney did not prosecute the case, but Lewis did live in his community, and he is glad that he will never be released back into it.
