PITTSFORD, NY - Mario Williams returned to the St. John Fisher campus earlier this evening the Bills confirmed to 2 on your side.
Williams was driven to camp around 8 p.m. this evening by a member of the Bills training staff.
Earlier today head coach Doug Marrone told reporters he had no update for the media on Mario Williams' sore foot.
Tuesday morning's practice included the team's first scrimmage in pads. Williams didn't even appear to be on the St. John Fischer campus again.
Williams was at camp Sunday but sat out on the sidelines. Monday, he missed practice altogether to have his foot checked out by team doctors.
Williams himself hasn't talked about his injury. Marrone seemed to have very limited details. Marrone still didn't even know which foot it was, how the injury happened, when it happened, or how bad it was. Marrone even told the media he was "done" answering questions about Williams' foot.
NBC's Pro Football Talk reported that there is no serious damage to Williams' foot and that doctors have advised him to rest it.
Williams' foot injury comes after his nagging wrist injury all last season. And of course, this past offseason, Williams was plagued by personal problems involving text messages that revealed what appeared to be suicidal thoughts - which he later denied - and a lawsuit against his ex-fiancee for the return of an engagement ring worth more than $750,000.
