LAKE BUTLER, FL - Hubert Allen, Jr., 72, the step-grandfather of Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller, went on a shooting rampage in Florida earlier today, shooting four people, and then killing himself. Two of the victims are dead.

WGRZ sister station First Coast News in Jacksonville is reporting that the shooting spree began around 9:20 a.m. Saturday. Among the dead is Marvin Pritchett, 80, owner of Pritchett Trucking Company, Allen's employer for 35 years.

The names of the victims are: Romando Gonzales-Delgado, 28 (deceased); Marvin Pritchett (deceased); Lewis Mabrey, Jr., 66; and David Griffis, 44.

The Union County Sheriff's Office released a detailed statement Saturday afternoon providing a timeline of the shootings. The incident began around 9 a.m. when Allen went to a location owned by Pritchett and encountered Gonzalez-Delgado, his former co-worker, and killed him. Then a short distance away, Allen shot and killed Pritchett.

Minutes later, as he was driving away, Allen confronted Mabrey, another former employee of Pritchett, operating a farm tractor. Allen pulled over and exchanged words with him, then fired one shot from a small-bore shotgun, striking Mabrey in the left arm and side.

Mabrey was taken to a hospital where he was expected to undergo surgery for a broken arm and other injuries. He is considered stable and in good condition.

First Coast News is reporting that Mabrey helped police identify the gunman.

Allen then went to Pritchett Trucking Company in Lake Butler and shot Griffis, another co-worker, in the stomach. Griffis was rushed to the hospital for immediate surgery. He is listed in critical condition.

Allen returned to his home and shot himself.

Sheriff's deputies and other local police agencies are investigating five crime scenes and interviewing witnesses and Pritchett Trucking employees. They believe Allen acted alone in the shootings.  Investigations will continue into the cause of what they're calling a "heinous" crime.
