JAMESTOWN, NY-- A Jamestown father is facing a child endangerment charge after he allegedly fled from police leaving his three-year-old child behind.
Jamestown Police say Joshua J. Treacy, 33 was pulled over because one of his passengers was not wearing a seatbelt. While the officer was checking the information, they say Treacy got out of the vehicle and fled, leaving his three-year-old son behind with the two other passengers.
A K-9 dog was able to track Treacy, who was wanted on an unrelated warrant, to an apartment on Prendergast under a pile of clothes.
Treacy was taken to jail and faces several charges including: obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and endangering the welfare of a child.
