ITHACA, NY - Buffalo Police say that the final suspect sought in the beating death of 96-year-old Buffalo resident Levi Clayton was arrested in Tompkins County, New York Wednesday.
Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 23-year-old Elhajji M. Elshabazz of Buffalo, after police were summoned to a robbery call at a local motel in Ithaca.
A warrant for the arrest of Elshabazz was placed out shortly after the home invasion of Clayton.
Police alleged that Elshabazz and three others broke into Levi Clayton's home, burglarized it and beat the elderly man.
Clayton died months later from blunt force trauma to his head.
Elshabazz was remanded to the Tompkins County Jail without bail as Buffalo Police start the extradition process back to Buffalo.
