Record Setting Season for Jamestown:

  • 576 points is the 2nd best ever in WNY, behind Maple Grove's 661 yards in a season.
  • 1,068 receiving yards in a season by Stephen Carlson (Senior WR), is the 6th best ever in WNY.
  • 33 TD passes in a season by Jake Sisson is 4th best behind 36 TDs (record held by Joe Licata, Williamsville South).
  • 508 yards passing in a game by Sisson beating the old record of 492 yards, held by Joe Licata of Williamsville South.
  • 3,170 yards passing in a season by Sisson is a new WNY record. St Joe's Chad Kelly held the prior record of 3,050 yards in 2011.
  • 254 passes attempted by Sisson rankes 12th on the All-Time List.
  • 161 passes completed by Sisson ranks 7th on the record list.

Jake Zembie, Aquinas' 6'3, 200-lb. Sophomore QB is the real deal. He passes for 313 yards, 4 TDs, and rushed for 2 TDs against Jamestown. He is being heavily recruited by big-time colleges and by his senior year will be one of the top QBs in the country. The Little Irish will be difficult to beat in the next 2 years.

Turkey of the Year: David Munella, Jamestown. Criteria for the award includes being "worst dancer", "worst singer", "worst haircut", and "worst cook". Congratulations Dave on this prestigious award and Happy Thanksgiving!

Since the Monsignor Martin Association re-established Championships in 2002: St. Francis leads with 6 Titles, followed by St. Joe's, with 3 and Canisius with 2.

Longest WNY Win Streak: Randolph with 21 wins.

Longest Win Streak in State: Maine-Endwell with 36 wins.

Fact: Kevon Perry, Burgard, was the only Trench Trophy Nominee from a City of Buffalo School.

Fact: Rayshawn Jones, McKinley & Keyon Johnson, McKinley, Tyler Mascio of South Park (2 nominations) & T.J. Scott of South Park were the only players from the City of Buffalo to receive Connolly Cup Nominations.

Amazing when you read how some coaches claim their players have been under the radar screen and haven't been getting the recognition they deserve. Reality: a few of these same coaches don't provide any stats or information to the media prior to and/or during the season. These complaints are bogus but agree that due to their lack of cooperation, many players go under the radar screen.
