More bad jobs news for Western New York with word firetruck manufacturer, American LaFrance, will be closing its plant in Hamburg.
Seventy workers were given the news on Monday the Camp Road plant, along with another plant in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, will be closing.
Work at both facilites is expected to be phased out by the end of May, with all work moving to the company's headquarters in Summerville, South Carolina.
Richard Ball, director of Marketing and Dealership operations, cited fewer orders fueled by increasing municipal budget cuts as the main reason for the move.
Ball says a certain number of workers with specific skill sets will be offered the opportunity to relocate to South Carolina.
