(bisons.com)-Scranton/Wilkes-Barre scored a quartet of runs before recording an out and rode the early advantage to a 6-4 victory over the Bisons in front of 12,539 at Coca-Cola Field on Friday night. The win was the Yankees' ninth consecutive.

The Bisons have just five games in four days left at home this season. All of the contests are against the Rochester Red Wings, starting with Saturday's big 25th Season Celebration a 6:05 p.m. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre wasted no time on Friday night as the first six batters of the game reached base on Jeurys Familia. Chris Dickerson singled and Corban Joseph hit a two-run home run to right field to get the Yankee offense rolling.

Eduardo Nunez followed with a double and later scored on a wild pitch. Two more singles and an error gave the Yankees an early 4-0 advantage.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre had four more consecutive hits to lead off the second inning with Dickerson coming around for a 5-0 lead.

While the early deficit was too much for the Herd to rally from, Familia did a solid job rebounding from his early struggles. The righty allowed just one hit over his final four innings of work.

The Herd scored a pair of runs in the third inning to get on the board. Fred Lewis came around on a throwing error from Yanks starter and former Bison John Maine. Valentino Pascucci later doubled home Lucas Duda for his team leading 58th RBI of the season.

Pascucci scored on a wild pitch in the eighth inning and Josh Satin doubled home Mike Nickeas in the ninth inning.
