Andrea Marvin joined the 2 on your side team in July 2013 as a general assignment reporter and is thrilled to call Western New York home. Her love for good storytelling and meeting new people makes this the perfect career for Andrea.
Before coming to Buffalo, Andrea was a reporter/fill-in anchor at WICS-TV in Springfield, Illinois. During her two years in the capital city, Andrea investigated local government issues and held politicians accountable on daily basis.
Previous to making the move to the midwest, Andrea spent over a year behind the redwood curtain at KIEM-TV in Eureka, California as a reporter/weekend anchor. Andrea got her start at a cable station in her home state of Colorado.
Andrea was born, raised and educated in the mile high city. She graduated from Colorado State University (GO RAMS!) with a bachelor in journalism communications and a minor in history. Andrea interned at KDVR in Denver, where many of her mentors still work today.
When not at work, you'll find Andrea curled up with a good book by the waterfront or on the slopes with her snowboard. Andrea enjoys visiting family in Hawaii and traveling the country with her fiancé, Tony.
Don't hesitate to say hi or email Andrea with story ideas, or follow her on twitter @andreamarvin1
