Internet search engines may to blame for our faulty memory.

A new study out of Columbia University finds we are more likely to forget things we know we can find on the internet.

Their study of adult volunteers found they were less likely to remember things they thought were available on-line... and they were better able to remember where to find something on the web than the information itself.

The researchers say the internet has become a form of external memory... and we depend on it to remember things for us.
