While nearly all parents agree schools need to do something about bullying -- they're not all on the same page about what constitutes "bullying."

A new survey from the University of Michigan finds 95-percent of adults say schools should intervene when students feel threatened or afraid for their safety.

But just about half considered social isolation from peers "bullying" -- and about that many didn't think school leaders needed to do anything about it.

However -- the u-m experts say isolating a student socially may be linked to episodes of school violence and even teen suicide.
