New research shows that partner support after a serious pre-natal diagnosis can reduce stress and anxiety among pregnant women.
The study assessed women whose fetus had been diagnosed with serious congenital heart disease.
Nearly a quarter of the women had depression ... and 39-percent had traumatic stress.
The more severe symptoms were associated with low income, denial of the diagnosis and poor partner support.
Researchers say women who felt the most positive about their partner were better able to cope with their situation.
