Fight Heart Disease by Eating Legumes

Eating more legumes ... like beans, chickpeas or lentils ... can decrease the risk of heart disease in people with type two diabetes.

Canadian researchers found that consuming one cup of legumes a day improves glycemic control -- the way the body processes sugar.

Legumes also help lower blood pressure ... which reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease.
