a new study finds heavy drinking at a younger age can cause circulation changes that raise the risk of developing heart disease later in life.

these changes were equivalent to the damage found in people with a lifetime of heavy alcohol consumption and similar to the effects of high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

more research is needed to determine if the damage caused by binge drinking can be reversed before the onset of cardiovascular disease.
