a large survey of american health behaviors finds more people are exercising -- but there are also more obese people and heavy drinkers compared to years past.
sixty percent of americans are overweight or obese, according to the latest data from the national center for health statistics.
however, close to half of americans are getting enough aerobic activity -- and a quarter are doing the recommended amount of muscle-building activities.
the survey also found one out of five americans are smokers, and of that group, less than half attempted to quit in 2010.
the number of people who had five or more alcoholic drinks in one sitting went up three percent -- to twenty-three percent.
the survey also found two-thirds of americans are getting the seven hours of sleep they need.
