BUFFALO, N.Y. -- You could easily find yourself enjoying the Caribbean for $42 per night if you play your cards correctly.

Unfortunately -- and despite cruises being very safe statistically -- the recent rash of terrible press has hurt cruise sales and the major cruise lines like Royal Caribbean and Carnival are bouncing back with big deals.

If a cruise doesn't float your boat, I also have a big nook deal lined up which we'll get to in a minute.

If neither of these deals appeal to you, I'll be sending out more after the morning show via Twitter. CLICK HERE

My top pick for a cruise deal today is a four-night Western Caribbean Carnival Cruise departing from Miami that will cost you $169 total. That works out to $42.25 per night, plus $50 bonus cash onboard and another upgrade subject to availability.

Taking a look at the calendar for the year ahead (at the time this article was written), there is plenty of availability for cruises in this price point, as well as another package for $10 more, leaving every month or more frequently.

CLICK HERE for a look at the best cruise promotions which dropped overnight and are available for a very limited time.

Obviously over the course of today as our viewers eat up the best deals, the $169 options will dissipate.

Please read all terms and conditions very carefully as most cruise offers are final sales.

If you're looking for some onboard entertainment, something to use on the road, or a possible Valentine's Day gift, the award-winning Nook by Barnes & Noble is $84 today, down from $139 with free shipping. This deal will sell out very quickly and I'm a huge fan of the Nook and a proud owner. CLICK HERE

If that order does sell out, I'll have some comparable (but not identical) Nook deals as backup options ready to go. Please feel free to contact me via email or Twitter if you encounter a sellout.

We receive absolutely no financial compensation for mentioning any company, product, or deal. The purpose of this segment is to find great deals -- that's it.
