NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- The state parks commissioner was in Niagara Falls Friday to officially re-open three recently restored areas in Niagara Falls State Park.

Crews added more than one million dollars in improvements to Three Sisters Island, Luna Island and the Cave of the Winds.  The work there included renovation of the tunnel that leads visitors to the gorge as well as the installation of new high speed elevators.

The next step is a $4.3 million project to revitalize Prospect Point.
