During the school year, there was a little girl in Buffalo who wanted to do a school report on me. When I met Cayla, I was immediately impressed. She was sweet, kind and full of questions.
What I didn't know is that she really was thoughtful. Recently, her mom contacted me about a great initiative she participated in to help those who are battling cancer.
It was a bake sale and she helped to raise over $100. For a second grade student in the Gifted and Talented program at Frederick Law Olmstead, she deserves an A!
Kudos to Cayla and her friend Madison for coming up with the idea to raise money for cancer on their own.
