Buffalo, NY (August 14th) -- It may seem like a dry and cold summer, but is it?

I used raw temperature and rain data for the meteorological summer months of June, July, and August in Buffalo to calculate some stats.

I found about 48% of the days this summer so far have been at or above average. 53% of the days have had rain.

When you break down the months, July was the warmest and August the coolest (so far). June was the wettest.

21% of the days in August so far have had temperatures at or above average. 43% of the days have had rain.

68% of the days in July had temperatures at or above average. 55% of the days have had rain.

40% of the days in June had temperatures at or above average. 57% of the days have had rain.

So overall less than half the summer we have had warm temperatures and more than half we've had rain.

This latest fall-like weather pattern will finally break later this week with sunshine and 80s for the weekend!
