Hundreds in room ahead of rally for Democrat Erie Co. Executive Candidate Mark Poloncarz
One of our viewers sent a question to our tipline, asking about Governor Andrew Cuomo's visit to Western New York on Friday.
Rollie Earls of Mayville wanted to know, "Who pays for our governor's trips to stump for the democratic races here in Western New York?"
A spokesperson for Governor Cuomo, Josh Vlasto, emailed us back and wrote, "It was not paid by state expense. The cost is paid by the political committee."
We then asked which committee paid, and whether the committee reimbursed the state for the cost of the governor's time, since this was a political event not related to day to day state business.
We have not yet received a response to the follow up questions.
