BUFFALO, NY -- Save Money: Homemade Dishwasher Soap
Grand Island mom, Sandy Jensen still uses the laundry detergent recipe she saw on Channel Two. Now, she's taken it a step further and makes her own dishwasher soap.
She's been using it for months and loves it. Here is what you need.
One cup of Borax, one cup of washing soda, 1/2 cup of kosher salt and two packets of lemon flavored kool-aid.
All you do is mix them together. That is it. You put a tablespoon in your soap tray and wash the dishes. They come out clean and spot free!
The recipe costs four cents per load and is good for the environment. You store the recipe in a container with a lid and use it when you need it.
