Buffalo, NY - Each spring, neighborhoods in Buffalo welcome visitors to see the old homes that you usually just drive past.  Often just as interesting as the furniture, decor and architecture is the history of the property.  One homeowner in Buffalo recently solved a celebrity mystery including his home.

Mark Pagano owns 40 Agassiz Circle.  He is so interested in his home's past that he hired historian Dana Saylor to research it.

She found the home was built by Richard Garvin in 1918.  He owned a company that often did windows for churches.  Architect Robert North also worked on churches in the area and designed what Pagano calls his oasis in the city.  Pagano has used historic gardens to restore the gardens and some parts of the home.  You can also find original windows that tell the story of Robin Hood.

Pagano had been told by neighbors that Cher stayed in the neighborhood in the 70's, but he wanted to know if his home was connected.  It took some digging by Saylor to find out exactly which property Cher's ex-husband Gregg Allman stayed at, and she says it wasn't Pagano's home, but down the street.

The Pagano home is one of 10 properties on the Parkside Tour of Homes this Sunday from 11 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.  Tickets are available and $20 the day of the event.
