SNYDER BEACH, NY The Seneca Nation of Indians is evicting 80 homeowners from some of its lands.

The Seneca's made the announcement Friday that homeowners on Snyder Beach need to be out by November.

Most of the non-Senecas who have homes there use them as summer cottages.

Seneca officials say in the past, the Nation would issue annual permits for the use of the land, but they say they have not done so in decades.

Snyder Beach is located on Lake Erie at the mouth of Cattaraugus Creek.
