NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- Police in Niagara Falls have released new information on a gruesome murder suicide that happened on 29th Street in the city.

Police say 37-year-old Peter Daniels strangled his girlfriend, 31-year-old Elizabeth Wilson, then slit her throat.  Daniels then went to his home across the street, where he lives with his parents.  They say his mother was home at the time.

"When she saw him at the house, for just a few moments, he had blood on him, she said.  Then he went back to Elizabeth's house, that's when, within moments, she heard a gunshot" said Detective Lt. Michael Trane of the Niagara Falls Police Department.

Police say Family and friends told them that Wilson had complained about Daniels in the past.  But she had never filed a police report.
