BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Firefighters and the city of Buffalo still do not have a contract deal.

So Wednesday night, members of the firefighters' union demonstrated outside of a fundraising event for the mayor's leadership council.  They say they are willing to make concessions.

"We believe that we should be paid professional firefighter wages comparable to other New York State firefighters and with that we haven't had a raise in 11 years," said Firefighters Local #282 President Dan Cunningham.

A spokesperson says the City has made multiple proposals and will continue to bargain in good faith.  Mayor Brown has stated several times that he wants a new contract for the firefighters but the deal must be one that is fair for the taxpayers of the City of Buffalo.
