Buffalo, NY - Union healthcare workers at Kaleida Health have overwhelmingly approved a strike vote.

It doesn't mean that 7,000 workers will strike.  It gives union negotiators permission to give Kaleida a 10 day strike notice.

Both sides are scheduled to resume bargaining on Thursday and Kaleida says contingency plans are in place if a strike happens.

Kaleida facilities include Buffalo General Medical Center, Millard Fillmore Suburban, DeGraff Hospital and Women and Children's Hospital.
