Lancaster, NY - A group from Trinity Lutheran Church is on a mission right now in the Dominican Republic.  They are sharing a special donation from some of our youngest good neighbors.

Students at Como Park Elementary were challenged to do an extra chore to earn a dollar to donate.  The money will go to buy uniforms which are a requirement to go to school in the Dominican Republic. Uniforms cost $4.  The same amount it costs to feed a child for two weeks.

The local students raised $1,300, even money to send 300 children to school.  Bethany McKernan teaches music at Como Park elementary and is traveling to the Dominican Republic with the donations.  She says, "Kids are willing to give if you give them the opportunity.  I hope we keep giving them the opportunity."
