BUFFALO, NY - The Erie County Industrial Agency approved $757,000 in tax breaks for Time Warner Cable to convert the former Sheehan Hospital.
The governor's office announced last month that Time Warner Cable would be taking over the former Sheehan Hospital building, which has been vacant since the hospital went bankrupt.
Erie County IDA's tax break is in addition to the $3.1 million in tax breaks given to Time Warner for job creation. Time Warner says the move will allow them to create 150 new jobs for the Buffalo-area.
Time Warner will become the main tenant in the building, now known as Compass East, when it moves its East Coast hub for its Business Class call center to Buffalo's East Side.
