- Police tell 2 on your side that an area man sustained non-life threatening injuries after jumping off a building.

- Test scores for students in third through eighth grade plunged in the first year of new, tougher standardized tests, education officials announced Wednesday.

- Someone vandalized a statue of Jackie Robinson and Pee Wee Reese in Brooklyn, covering it with swastikas and racial slurs. The statue, which stands outside the home of the Mets' Class A Brooklyn Cyclones in the Coney Island neighborhood of the borough, commemorates the moment when Reese put his arm around Robinson in front of a hostile crowd at a game in Cincinnati during Robinson's first season in the Majors.
