BUFFALO, NY - The City of Buffalo has unveiled a prescription card to help residents save money on prescriptions.
The WNYRx program will help residents save up to 18 percent on some brand name prescriptions and up to 65 percent on some generic drugs.
Buffalo City Council President Rich Fontana says the WNYRx program will not affect taxpayers from a budgetary standpoint.
The WNYRx card is accepted in over 68,000 pharmacies across the U.S, and is open to all Western New York residents.
