TONAWANDA, NY - Celebrities and stars weren't the only ones celebrating the Oscars Sunday night. The animals of the SPCA Serving Erie County took part in the PAWscars.

Everyone was invited to attend this special event where adoptions were half off all day long. Each person that adopted an animal also received a VIP "Swag Bag" full of goodies for their new pet.

Stephanie Hall, adoptions manager, said that they hope this event will bring more people to the SPCA to give the animals a good home. Hall tells us, "We have a lot people people here. We even had a few people waiting outside."

There were a total of 11 adoptions during the event which Hall says is excellent because the SPCA isn't usually open on Sundays.
