BUFFALO, N.Y. - A city landmark held its first event since its complete renovation on Friday.
The Niagara University College of Hospitality and Tourism Management held its annual Wine Pairing Dinner and Fundraiser at the Hotel Lafayette.
Guests were invited to tour the hotel, which was built for the Pan-American Exposition and completed in 1904. The project has been undergoing a $43 million renovation since last July.
Project Developer Rocco Termini served as the guest speaker for the event.
The renovation is being called the largest privately financed historic preservation effort currently underway in the country.
