BUFFALO, N.Y. - Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day across the country and several law enforcement agencies in Western New York will be providing drop-off points for the public.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at all locations.
This is a great opportunity to drop-off any unwanted and unused prescription drugs in a safe way. According to the Drug Enforcement Agency, people across the U.S. have turned in more than 774 tons of medication over the past four years.
The drugs that are collected will be properly destroyed.
