Canisius and Timon/St. Jude had byes this week.

St. Joe's totally dominated an overmatched O'Hara team 48-6. The Marauders were led by the play of Rod Payne, Ilo Noble, Tony Castellani and Gerry Wasilewski. Dennis Gilbers' squad moves on to play Timon/St. Jude in the semi-finals on Thursday. The Tigers' defeated the Marauders' 17-14 in week 7 at Tifft Field. The game at the Stadium wwill be more explosive on the turf.

St. Mary's defeated St. Francis in week 6, 34-27, but the Red Raiders got their revenge Saturday by dominating the Lancers' 52-7, led by Alex Misterman's 5 TDs and 3 and 335 yards rushing.

The Frannies move on to play Canisius in a semi-final contest at the Ralph. The Crusaders' defeated the Red Raiders in week 5, but St. Francis has won 3 consecutive games, scoring 119 points and allowing 28 points. This streak includes a 28-7 victory over Timon/St. Jude in week 9.

St. Joe's vs. Timon/St. Jude is a tossup with the battles of RBs: Adam DiMillo vs. St. Joe's Ilo Noble having an impact on the outcome.

Canisius is the #1 ranked team in WNY Large Schools and #2 in the State Class AA Poll. The edge to the Crusaders' sparked by Qadree Ollison, Tyler Mascio and Ryan Hunter.

The Crusaders, however, need to make sure they don't underestimate a Jerry Smith-playoff team. The Red Raiders are defending champs and always come ready to play.
