BUFFALO, NY - It wasn't your typical Sunday morning service at a city of Buffalo church. Children were in line to receive gifts that included toys and clothes.
Christmas came a couple of days early at Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ in Buffalo. It was an annual giveaway and children were smiling from the back of the church to the front altar.
"We just want to be neighborly to anyone that we can touch. We want to touch lives in a positive way. We believe that your better tomorrow begins today and we always want to give that message of hope that people can understand that someone cares and someone wants to share with them," said Pastor R. Dale Alston.
The church has about 200 members. All of the brand new items were donated by church members. Non-members were the first to receive gifts.
