BUFFALO, N.Y. - 2 On Your Side is continuing to canvass local lawmakers who voted in favor of New York's new gun control legislation to see how they feel about proposed changes to the law.

Earlier this week, leaders in the State Legislature talked about revisiting the part of the law that reduced the number of bullets allowed in a magazine from ten to seven because major gun makers do not make seven round magazines.

On Tuesday, State Senator Mark Grisanti sent 2 On Your Side a statement saying he is interested in discussions to improve the SAFE Act, but does not support repealing it.

On Wednesday, a representative from State Senator Tim Kennedy's office said he expects there will be some technical amendments to the law, that discussions in Albany continue and that he is comfortable with the law as it stands.

2 On Your Side also reached out to Assembly Members Sean Ryan and Crystal Peoples-Stokes to get their thoughts.  Both members voted for the SAFE Act.  We have yet to hear back from them.
