NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. - The New York State Senate and Assembly say they are planning on restoring cuts that would hurt programs that serve people living with developmental disabilities.

2 On Your Side caught up with State Senator George Maziarz at an event Friday at Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara where lawmakers were addressing the cuts in Governor Cuomo's proposed budget.

Governor Cuomo is calling for $120 Million in cuts to disability-service providers.  Maziarz said Friday that finding money to continue these services is a priority.

Earlier this week, advocacy groups rallied in Albany, demanding the funds be restored in the budget.
