WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - Dog owners in Williamsville will have to wait a little big longer to find out whether they'll be able to walk their dogs in Glen Park.
The village is still considering whether or not to lift a 36 year ban that prohibits dogs in the park.
At Monday night's village board meeting, Village Trustee Christopher Duquin told 2 On Your Side that they want to take their time deciding because residents are split over the issue.
Duquin said that on Facebook, residents overwhelmingly were in favor of lifting the ban.
However, residents who showed up to February's public hearing were against dogs in the park.
Duquin says all of the information collected from February's public hearing has been delivered to the Glen Park Joint Board.
The board will then advise the town and village on what to do.
A decision is expected sometime in April.
