The Local Blue Ribbon Riders 4-H Club, a youth equestrian group, is having trouble trying to raise money for a trip.

The group has been invited to compete in the Pony Finals in Lexington, Kentucky, one of the largest youth events their sport has to offer.

But, in order to go, one mother said they will need help finding a place willing to host these fundraisers.

"We've been working on this for two years," said Sonja Marchetti. "Last year, we weren't able to earn enough money. We were hoping this year with having two hot dog sales, plus we are having a horse show itself to achieve enough funds to go. I mean it's every child's dream to go to the Pony Finals."

The Blue Ribbon Riders want to hold fundraisers Memorial Day weekend and the weekend of July 6. If you're a business owner in Niagara County that's willing to host a hot dog fundraiser to help them out, send us a direct message on our Facebook page at
