Delaware Becomes 11th State to Allow Same Sex Marriages

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Same-sex couples in Delaware say they're looking forward to July 1, when Delaware officially becomes the 11th state in the nation to allow same-sex marriage. Advocates cheered Tuesday as Democratic Gov. Jack Markell signed a gay marriage bill into law just minutes after its passage by the state Senate.

DOVER, Del. (AP) - A state House committee is eyeing a bill that expands the ability of authorities in Delaware to prohibit people with mental health issues from having guns.

The legislation before the Health and Human Development Committee today is aimed at ensuring that people deemed a danger to themselves or others don't have access to guns.
