PITTSFORD, N.Y.- Less than a week after steamrolling Canandaigua 12-3 in the Far West Regionals, Hamburg faced a similar punishment in the Class B State Semi Finals.

Syracuse powerhouse Jamesville-DeWitt improved to 20-1 with a 18-5 win over Hamburg at St. John Fisher College.

The Red Rams entered the game outscoring their opponents 374-107 on the season. After the win over the Bulldogs, the difference is up to 392-112.

Jamesville-DeWitt led the entire game after jumping out to an early 3-0 lead. Hamburg trailed 6-1 at the end of the first quarter but couldn't get much going offensively. However, Nick Wilcox did score two goals for the purple and white.

J-D moves on to the Class B State Championship, where the Red Rams have won three times before.

Hamburg's impressive season comes to an end.
