AMHERST, NY-- Firefighters responded to the scene of a fire inside the Target store on Niagara Falls Boulevard.

Firefighters from the North Bailey Fire Company were called to the store around 3pm. Amherst Police tell 2 On Your Side the fire was started in the Men's department of the store, and was contained to the area.

Investigators are investigating the fire as a possible arson.

The store was evacuated.

EMT's and Paramedics from Twin Cities Ambulance were also called to the scene. Police say one Target employee was treated on the scene by emergency crews for an unknown ailment.

The store manager says the fire did $200,000-$250,000 in damage mostly to clothes in the men's department. Some baby clothes that smell like smoke, but are not damaged will be given to charity.

Investigators are currently looking through security footage to try and find out who is behind the fire.

The manager says the store will reopen tomorrow at some point.

Amherst Police are asking anyone with any information to call them at 689-1364.
