BUFFALO, NY--  Incumbent Mayor Byron Brown will be on the democratic ballot in November.

2 On Your Side declared Brown the winner in the democratic primary against Bernie Tolbert.

With 95% of the precincts reporting, Brown had nearly 70% of the votes.

Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown easily defeated Democratic opponent Bernie Tolbert in the primary Tuesday night.

In his victory speech, Brown vowed to continue to bring progress to Buffalo. And, if he is re-elected, he says voters can hold him to that.

"If I win another term, you can count on me to continue to be focused on economic development and creating a climate where businesses can grow, where businesses will be attracted to create jobs for the residents of this community. We're certainly going to work on the issue of public education, to increase academic achievement, graduation rates in the Buffalo Public Schools," said Brown.

Brown will face Republican candidate Sergio Rodriguez in November.
