Sabres Report to Training Camp

BUFFALO, NY - The Buffalo Sabres embark on a new season today.

Players reported to training camp Wednesday morning.   They underwent physicals and had their pictures taken.   Thursday they will be on the ice. 

Despite the off-season trade rumors, Sabres' goalie Ryan Miller says he is happy to be back in Buffalo this season.

Both Miller and forward Thomas Vanek are in the last year of the their contracts.

Sabres' General Manager Darcy Regier says he hopes to have a deal soon for restricted free agent Cody Hodgson, so he can be on the ice Thursday.

Their first pre-season game is Sunday in Montreal against the Canadiens.

The Sabres' practices for the remainder of the week at the First Niagara Center are open to the public.
