BUFFALO, N.Y. -- There is new information about an E. coli outbreak that sickened a local college student.
Attorney Jed Deitrich, who represents Rob Ormsby, tells 2 On Your Side that testing from the state health department confirms that Ormsby's illness was related to recalled food from Rich Products.
Ormsby is a student at Niagara County Community College.
He's since returned to school and is doing much better, but Dietrich says he will have long-term health problems due to the contamination.
Rich Products recalled more than 190,000 pounds of frozen food in March due to possible E. Coli contamination.
Ormsby is suing Rich Products.
That lawsuit is expected in court in May of 2014.
A spokesperson for Rich Products declined to comment now that the case has made it to court.
You can find a full list of the recalled products on the Farm Rich website.
