If you'd rather ski than shop this Black Friday, you'll now have two more locations to choose from.
Thanks to all the snow that's fallen in the southern tier, both Swain Resort and Kissing Bridge announced they will be opening for the season.
This is the first time in many years that Swain will be open the day after Thanksgiving. With 20 inches of natural snow over the last two weeks and temperatures cold enough to make snow, the resort will be able to have several trails open for skiing and snowboarding all weekend long from 9 A.M.-4 P.M.
In Colden, some slopes at Kissing Bridge will open for skiing and snowboarding at 9 A.M. More slopes will open as soon as Mother Nature makes it possible.
